OFFICIAL SELECTION

SEPT 20TH AT SOUTHWEST LAKE CREEK 7

In Service

Nick P. Vittas, Azgad Crisostomo, Daniel Escobar

Jaxon, a mentally ill homeless man, races to replace his stolen phone charger so he can stay in touch with the artificial intelligence therapist program the city has provided before his phone battery dies. As his frantic search for a charger progresses, Jaxon must decide whether to follow the advice of his A.I. therapist or face his mental illness through his own means.

But as his phone’s battery gets closer to empty, the artificial intelligence therapist’s plans to get a charger become riskier, prompting the question, whose needs are being addressed, the patient’s or the program’s?
