Welcome To The Night

Lizy, a young streamer and cosplayer, puts on a Victorian vampire costume for her online audience, but what begins as a performance slowly reveals itself to be something far more sinister. Over the course of one night and day, she grows increasingly pale, thirsty, and averse to sunlight, while her reflection begins moving independently and whispering to her in her own voice. Her best friend Jen visits out of concern but is unable to reach her as Lizy slips further from herself. By nightfall, Lizy fully embraces her transformation, dons the sentient overcoat that has been pulling her toward this moment all along, and goes live one final time — not as a cosplayer performing a character, but as the creature she has always been, welcoming a rapidly growing audience into the night.
