Berlin, 2034.

When Yoshe Tamura, a Japanese woman serving a life sentence, commits suicide in a Berlin prison, a secret carefully preserved for more than twenty years begins to unravel. Haksizlik Koch, a young law student, learns that the deceased woman was his biological mother — a truth deliberately concealed since childhood by the woman who raised him.

Determined to understand what really happened, Haksizlik begins to investigate the past. His search gradually leads him from Berlin to Tokyo and back into a chain of events that began long before his birth.

Years earlier, two women made a decision in the aftermath of political violence and personal tragedy. One accepted prison. Another took the child and raised him as her own. A version of events was constructed — stable enough for a life to continue.

As fragments of that past resurface, Haksizlik discovers that his existence rests on a fragile architecture of protection, silence and sacrifice. What begins as a search for truth slowly becomes something else: the realization that the story he believed about his origins was never meant to be fully known.
