Duffy's Cut--Based on the true story of murder on the Main Line.
"In June of 1832, after a nearly three-month sail from Ireland aboard the ship John Stamp, 57 men and two women arrived in Philadelphia with hopes of finding work and beginning a new life in the United States. Just six weeks later they were savagely killed along the very stretch of the Main Line track they were hired to build. Their families back in Ireland would never learn their tragic fate or hear from them again." by Virginia Lindak OCTOBER 28, 2020
The Black Bottom--
My screenplay, “The Black Bottom” is based on the true story of gentrification and urban renewal in Philadelphia, PA and what can best be described as controlled, governmental ethnic neighborhood elimination and intimidation in the late 1960’s.
I hope the story shows how helpless and vulnerable people can be when they don’t anticipate their own fate, or appreciate the malice, vindictiveness and jealousy which surrounds them.
We must all guard against, unfettered and unchecked hatred against any people, or race. When that type of circumstance is revealed and we all stand up and fight, we can champion evil and make life right again.
